Alumni dinner last night. I was there as the A-V helper, since I know how to press the right-arrow key on a laptop keyboard. The really hard part is the smiling, since I can't just wander through the milling crowd of potential philanthropists with my natural expression decorating the front of my head. My face naturally falls into what people misconstrue as a smirk, unfortunately, and donors hate to think you're not sincerely enjoying their company.

Now I think that I smile and laugh a lot, but those muscles must be a slightly different set from the ones used to force a smile. After a four-hour workout last night, that part of my face is sore. It wasn't an awful evening, but it was a long one.
