My job does not usually require a lot of moving around. In fact, every so often I sit down in the morning and never come from behind my desk until I leave at night. And I work in a cave-like room, so I never have a clue as to what's going on outside. However, if I have to use the restroom I almost always cut through the parking lot rather than walk all the way around our U-shaped building, which is what I did just now. Argh! Ignorance is bliss--I don't know how I am going to get through the day now that I know how gorgeous it is out there. I tried to take a picture, but my toy camera can't handle the pure loveliness, plus you can't hear the birds singing, you can't feel the perfect breeze, you can't smell the, the, the ... the lack of bad smells. I do, however, like the way it managed to gaily festoon the Shriver Lab building with those jaunty orange stripes.
I do have a bunch of things to work on, but I will be drinking a LOT of water today.
