Two kids in college, that's what I have. Jennifer has a swell new dorm apartment that is nicer than any apartment I have ever rented. Four girls in four bedrooms with a nice kitchen and a washer & dryer in the apartment? Crazy. I like all of her roommates, too, but I am sure I will find something to complain about before long. Christopher only saw her old dorm room, which was a cinderblock cell with no air conditioning and a shared bathroom for the whole hallway, so he was happy to move into his room, which is nothing glamorous but definitely a step up from that. Back-to-school seems like a better time for resolutions than New Year's Day* so I will come up with something by the end of the week. It will probably have something to do with finances, strapped as I feel at the moment. Or fitness, since I finally achieved averageness, weight-wise. Although I could use an organizational-type goal as well. Part of feeling down is letting things get out of control, and vice-versa. Anyway, I will think about it. Or pretend to have thought about it. Two kids in college. Damn.
---- *My New Year's resolution to floss has been interrupted briefly as departing children took all of my dental floss. Also all of my spaghetti sauce, lollipops, granola bars, toilet paper, my telephone cord (leaving the anurous telephone smack in the middle of a room upstairs ... no matter, no one ever answers it anyway), and probably many things I have not yet discovered.
