It's movie week around here. Yesterday I saw Verunga, which was supposed to be a documentary about the park in eastern Congo, but a war popped up and turned it into a somewhat different story. I thought it worked harder at being beautiful than informative, but it was definitely worth watching. Today I saw An Honest Liar, which I thought was going to be a biopic of James Randi. It sounds like it started to be something like that but a situation popped up and it turned into a movie about the nature of deception and truth. It was good. And then look who showed up! This was a pretty nifty afternoon.
