So I was back in the theater last night, watching Lawrence of Arabia. I first saw this movie in a film class I took a few summers ago. I loved it right away. I rented it to show Brian at home. It turned out that he had already seen it before, but we watched it a couple more times anyway. The instructor of the class told us that it was utterly imperative that we see it in 70mm and should the opportunity to do so present itself, sieze it or bear the resulting ignominy etc. and so forth. It came and I carpe-d. I've got to say that it was a lovely thing on the big screen, but most of the visual stuff is lost on me. I just like a good story and that is one hell of a good story.
