you lucky readers

I remembered that yesterday was New Year's Eve, but we didn't do anything special. I wasn't really paying attention until I read this morning's Post and got to the what's in and out list. As usual, I had to google a bunch of the ins and some of the outs because I'd never heard of them. Now I should be able to converse hiply for the next 72 hours or so. The in and out list has a half-life of about two days, but you stand a good chance of hearing something about it until mid-February.

You know how I read the news? I hardly ever read a paper newspaper anymore. I check the news radio station's site for headlines a couple of times a day. I look at the BBC site for anything interesting, then the Washington Post metro and style sections. I usually read metro through, sometimes I give every article in style a miss and go straight to the comics. Today when I read the comics I was reminded of the New Years Resolution tradition, which I usually skip. I was going to do it again this year until I was brushing my teeth and remembered to floss. I flossed my teeth on January 1. If I can floss today, I can floss tomorrow and the next day and every day this year, or so my theory posits. Of course I will let you know how it goes.
