It's very frustrating to have booksales all over the place while under a buying moratorium. To take my mind off of this misery, we went to the arboretum and poked around as long as Victoria's mood stayed sunny. We also went to a kids' party (first communion thing) at one of the Cabin John parks. What a great place for little kids--there was a little playground, a volleyball net, a ball field, bathrooms, and a picnic shelter, all surrounded by a tall fence so that you could lock everybody in. I thought it was like a giant playpen, my brother-in-law thought it was like a tiny prison. Either way, it worked.
