This book follows a class through the two-year program at a south central California community college which has become the foremost producer of animal trainers for facilities around the country. There's an interesting history to the program specifically and animal training in general, although I found the author's utilitarian style tepid. It was like reading a very long magazine article that you would cut out and send to your dolphin-crazy niece. If you ARE a dolphin-crazy niece, I am certain you will enjoy the book.
