SRP: Kicked, Bitten, and Scratched by Amy Sutherland

Hey, it is summer or very much like it: time to tell you about a book or two. First up is subtitled Life and Lessons at the World's Premier School for Exotic Animal Trainers, which introduces the subject pretty thoroughly.

This book follows a class through the two-year program at a south central California community college which has become the foremost producer of animal trainers for facilities around the country. There's an interesting history to the program specifically and animal training in general, although I found the author's utilitarian style tepid. It was like reading a very long magazine article that you would cut out and send to your dolphin-crazy niece. If you ARE a dolphin-crazy niece, I am certain you will enjoy the book.
