Before they flew out to visit, Chris was worried that we wouldn't be able to entertain his girlfriend in the manner to which she is accustomed. He apparently called Brian more than once to voice this concern. But these kids are such accomplished loiterers that I don't know when we would have been able to squeeze in any meaningful activity at all. Today, for example, they lolled about eating bagels and coloring in a Care Bears coloring book until Brian shooed us all down to the schoolyard for a blustery game of hopscotch. I had offered a full-moon hike at a nearby park as a recreational option later this evening, but after braving the elements for an hour or so neither C was inclined toward further outdoor recreation. Instead they offered to make dinner and watch Victoria while Brian and I went, which was ideal. It was a swell night for a hike and they made excellent spaghetti and meatballs. Then Brian took them out to watch a game while I put Victoria in bed. Now they are watching TV shows on a computer and I am trying to stop re-playing the gametacnukesoul posted. The problem is that when you finish a cheery red button suggests that you "try again!" It's hard to resist.
