Just yesterday I fielded a couple of calls from Jennifer, who had driven the truck into a parking lot at school and was stuck on some ice. I was trying to be helpful, but how much could I do from here? I wondered why she thought it would help to call me to say, "Uh, I'm stuck on some ice."
I no longer wonder. You're stuck and nothing is working and you are tired of trying the same thing over and over again, so you do something different: call someone. Brian was very nice about it, but I am sure he was wondering why I thought it would help to call him to say, "Uh, I can't start my car."
It did start eventually.
