Saturday we took a very damp hike through a park. It was nice, part of a winter hike series sponsered by metro parks. Nice and wet. I had intended to take the 1.5 mile hike, but Victoria wasn't ready to stop then so we pressed on for the 3.5 mile trail and--who didn't guess this would happen--halfway through that she was sooooo tired. And her feet were itchy. I figured out a stupid game to keep her going and I am very happy to say it worked. The problem is I might have to pretend to be a train engine with a pesky caboose every time we are in a wooded situation now. These little triumphs always tend to bite me in the butt eventually.
Nothing is working yet. No internet. The keys the post office gave me don't open the mailbox! The mortgage guy isn't returning my calls. And it is very, very damp and gray. Other than that, everything is fine.
More later.
