Friday! Bread Day!

kugelblitz found an interesting bread recipe in the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/08/dining/08mini.html). In the video accompanying the article, the baker exclaims that the bread is so easy to make that a six year old could do it. Then he amended that: a four year old! I thought I would give it a try:

It was easy and fun. I'm working on another loaf even now!

1) If you had to move 100 miles or more to the north, east, west, or south, which would you choose, where would you end up, and what's so great about there?
I would probably move to New Mexico or Arizona; I like the deserts.
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering?
Not really. I like to wander most places that seem reasonably safe.
3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home?
Much happier to start a trip! I'm almost always sad when it's time to go home.
4) Plane, train, automobile, bicycle, or foot?
5) Do you overplan or underplan your travels? (Assume that "no" is not a valid answer.)
I underplan, I guess, although I don't mind. I'd rather not have a schedule to follow.

Did you use wheat bran?

Re: Did you use wheat bran?
No, I just had corn meal in the kitchen, but I'm going up to the co-op soon to see if they have some for this next loaf. Thanks so much for the recipe, this was a blast!

The bread is gorgeous, and it tasted great, too! I can't thank you enough for offering me some.

1) I would not move 100+ miles west of here. I have realized that I would be very unhappy that far away from Big Water. Otherwise, I would probably be willing to go any other direction. I would choose east or south, but my husband would probably choose north.

2) At the moment, I am rather fond of Rt. 4 and Rt.5, down towards Pt. Lookout.

3) I love to travel. I really do. But, I honestly think my vote on this question is that I like the return trip better. I guess it's that I planned a trip, got through it, had a great time (or at least a memorable one!), and lived to tell the tale. Gotta thank whoever you gotta thank for that.

4) Plane.

5) Overplan. Definitely.
