Given a choice, and imagining that money and time were no object, would you rather cook dinner, eat out or order in?
I'd rather cook dinner.
What is the most elaborate meal you've ever prepared yourself or purchased at a restaurant?
I once made wonton soup from scratch. Took all day and the wontons were too thick; we called them onetons, hah!
What food do you find yourself making and/or eating way too much?
Sometimes I do too much cookie/cake baking but not at the moment.
What was your most disastrous cooking/eating out experience?
I have had too many disastrous cooking experiences to recall and rank. Bad bread is always a huge disappointment; I've had my heart broken several times that way.
Would you rather cook for someone else or have them cook for you?
I'd rather do the cooking.
1. Who was the last new friend that you made?
Some camping neighbors at Winfield.
2. How often do you make new friends?
It's sporadic, but it probably averages out to ten new friends in a year or so.
3. How do you usually meet new friends?
I leave my house to do something.
4. How easy you find it to make new friends? How easy did you find it to make new friends as a child?
Very easy, both now and then. I am not hard to get along with.
5. Have you ever made a new friend online? If yes, tell us about a memorable instance.
I've made a bunch of friends online, mostly through selling books. I don't sell much on eBay anymore, but one of the discussion boards there was for book people and I met a lot of people through that. We discovered that many of us lived in the DC area and we've met each other several times, which led me to meet many more book people.
1. Where were you last night?
I was at home all night.
2. Did you speak with anyone?
I spoke to my younger daughter, who was home with me. I also spoke briefly with two telephone callers; they each wanted to speak with my older daughter (she lives elsewhere).
3. What were you wearing?
Green sweatpants and a long-sleeved blue tshirt with a snowflake on it.
4. What did you eat or drink?
I ate some pork roast, cookup rice, and sugar snap peas. I drank water and diet orange soda (Diet Rite Zero, not very good--I didn't know this before I bought a 12-pack on sale).
5. Can anyone verify your whereabouts from midnight to 5am?
If it were absolutely essential, I think Verizon could verify that stuff I posted online came from in or near my house. Maybe. After about 2:30am it would be my word against whomever's.
