Oh, Mexico, not again so soon! Mexican stamp called offensive to blacks
Novelist Elena Poniatowska, a noted supporter of leftist causes, was quoted in the newspaper La Jornada as calling the criticisms "absurd."

"In our country, the image of black people is one of enormous goodwill, which is reflected not only in characters like Memin Pinguin, but in popular songs ... like 'Little Black Watermelon,'" a song about an unruly black boy. (AP)

woo-hoo.... UMCP could probably offer a semester-long class about US-Mexican race relations (the politically correct title would be "Multi-Culturalism in Central America and the United States." and it would fill up the way a match lights up. Have you taken a look at the wait-lists for EVERY Spanish class for the fall semester? It's a cryin' shame the University will not allow more classes. There are obviously a zillion people who would pay to take Spanish classes....
