It's all good

I start school later this year (MLS at UMCP) and so does V (6th grade in TP). We both have to prove we have all our shots, plus present other types of official documents. It is taking a long time to get all these pieces in place. Glad I started early!

Maryland Day started out as Ag Day. It's on Saturday and I am stopping by a couple of things there, but Saturday is also Simon's birthday party, so it's still Ag Day.

I have a two-day supported bike ride planned in a few weeks, but I am having some trouble getting practice rides in. This weekend J suggested we join her friend in a 25-mile charity ride and I thought that was a fantastic idea, except I need a 75-mile ride. Then I saw that the ride is in Cockeysville, which is about 50 miles from my house. And weather.com predicts a beautiful Sunday. This could work.

Monday I have a bunch of appointments dealing with the aforementioned administrative details. We won't be done, but we'll be closer to done. More done than not-done. That evening I will visit a friend who is getting a new bathroom installed in her basement. Mostly I want to say hi to my friend but it will be nice to have a prospective bathroom as a conversational default.

Tuesday I have to see the Pre-Raphaelites and some clowns. I am really psyched about seeing Delusions of Grandeur, which I missed the first 40 times they did it, but finally we will both be in the same place at the same time. Yay!

We will be back in Columbus by the weekend so that V can go on an overnight with the girl scouts. She double-dipped scouting this year: the official GSA way complete with cookie sales, and the rogue troop that does whatever they feel like they wanna do. Gosh! This year the Adventure Scouts turned kinda girly—in fact, tomorrow morning I am dragging their Adventure selves up north for a Spa Day at a cosmetology career center.

After that, J is coming to Ohio so that I don't have to accompany V to a Taylor Swift concert. J is really campaigning hard for that Best Daughter trophy. As far as V's school goes, we're almost done with everything. The idea was to finish before this concert. It could happen.

Then summer is all camping and horses and that bike thing in Seattle that my sister charmed me into. She keeps posting her badass Cat 4 racingrrl photos all over Facebook. She's scary, that one is. Anyway, this stuff is coming up and it all sounds like it could be pretty good. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I am always interested in your plans, biking and otherwise. I'll still be in Cockeysville then, though (and I thank you for giving me another opportunity to pronounce Cockeysville in my head)--however, I may ride by Fozzie Corner on my way back to critique the yardwork.

Can't wait to see you and not hug you! I'll be at Simon's in the afternoon, probably around 3 or 4.

MLS at UMCP?!!!?!?!!!! YAY! That's awesome!

Shaun and I will be working on Maryland Day. Shaun and his co-workers are giving tours of the greenhouse every 1/2 hour. I'm going to be there to greet visitors as they arrive (in case they have to wait a few minutes for the next tour to start).

By the way, what specialization are you going to pursue?

It's the "Curation and Management of Digital Assets" specialization. I will stop by the greenhouse and say hi!

Well I'm close enough that hitting both isn't too difficult.

I do appreciate your considerate choice of locale. I wish more people would look ahead to my weekend plans before selecting and setting up domiciles.

Heh... when my brother in law was racing we called the CAT4 races "crashteriums". Getting out in front and winning all the time was just a survival tactic for him. :)
